The starting point (one of them) is off Route-42. You will see the sigh saying "Appalachian" on the right (when coming from US-460 E --> Route 42), just before State Route 629 (on the right). That is where you can park.
After parking, cross the road and the trail starts. The trail is well marked and you just need to follow the white marks on the trees. In case it has rained, then parts of the trail can be messy, specially at the very beginning. Some views at the very start:
Before you enter the forest, you will cross a couple of wired fences using wooden ladders. The scenery before the entry into the forest is pretty nice.
Pretty soon the clear scenery part will end and you will cross a wired fence into the woods.
Along the trail you will pass a shelter (at about 2 miles) and soon after that you will come across Laurel Creek. You will cross the creek twice.
After you cross the creek the hike is pretty steep for the next about 0.9 miles. Once you have ascended this part, the trail will become pretty flat (relatively speaking). From there (as you have been doing till now) just keep following the white marks on the trees. Along with the white mark, look out for a blue one. The first blue mark will come on the left, on a tree which has a wooden sign board pointing towards the direction of the "view". From this point just follow the blue marks on the trees.
The "view" is a clear (flat) rocky area. You will have to jump and be a little bit adventurous to actually go on the rocks to see the view.
