Hiking: Dragon's Tooth (VA)

The temperatures were favorable and the weekend had to be utilized for outdoor activities.
Saturday: Biking. Sunday: Hiking.

For hiking we decided to revisit the Dragon's Tooth.

For some of the pictures I have mentioned the time (as given by the camera). This might give you an idea of how long it would take to complete the trail.

Picture taken at the starting point: 11:38am
Picture taken at the top (shown above, one in which you can see the tooth): 1:11pm
Picture of the wooden bridge, taken while returning and close to the starting point: 2:57pm

The Dragon's Tooth is a 4.6 miles long hike which starts off VA-311.

The trail is well marked.

At the beginning you will cross a couple of wooden bridges and small streams of water.

The trail is clean and nice with lots of trees.

You will come across a camping area (at-least a flat small clearing area) where the wodden signs will point you towards the trail.

After this, the path will become rocky. Just follow the marking.

A couple of times you will go rock climbing.

Soon after climbing the rocks shown in the above picture, you will get the first clear view of the valley.

Just keep on going. At the very top the wooden sign will again point you towards the tooth.

Do climb the tooth. The view from the top is nice. This time I forgot to make a video.  But the pictures serve the purpose.
